Loyola biology and honors student awarded prestigious Gates Cambridge Scholarship

Michael Pashkevich, '17 will pursue doctoral studies at Cambridge University. Only 95 people from around the world received the award this year and Pashkevich is the sole winner in Louisiana and the first to be named from Loyola University New Orleans.

Bobby Rush's Blues album, Porcupine Meat, won the "Best Traditional Blues Album" award. Loyola Instructor Scott Billington produced the album, Professor Jeff Albert wrote arrangements and performed with Instructor David Torkanowsky.
