Law Graduation Mass

The 2019 College of Law Graduation Mass will be held on Thursday, May 9, at 3:30 p.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church on the university’s main campus. All graduates and their families are invited to attend.

Candidates participating in the Mass must report to the arcade located on the Thomas Hall side of the Marquette Horseshoe at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the service.

In accordance with custom, all candidates are required to wear academic caps and gowns (without hoods) for the Graduation Mass. Hoods, cords, stoles, etc. are to be worn for the class photo and at commencement only. Official Graduation Mass marshals will be on hand to assist with the procession. When directed, please proceed to the pews on the right or left as indicated and stand facing the center aisle until the celebrants have passed.

Families and guests should be seated behind the area reserved for candidates.

All graduating students should join the Communion procession. Those receiving Communion are invited to present one hand over the other in front of the Communion minister to receive the Host. Those not receiving Communion are invited to cross their arms over their chests to receive a blessing.

Tickets are not required for the Graduation Mass. Seating is first-come, first-served.
