Rebirth of Loyola's ring ceremony is scheduled for fall 2010

April 9, 2010

Loyola students graduating in the Class of 2011 will be able to commemorate their academic achievements at a class ring ceremony this fall to be held during Family Weekend, Oct. 1-3. Students who have completed at least 60 credit hours are eligible to participate in the Ring Presentation Ceremony, which stopped after Katrina.

A representative from Balfour, Loyola’s exclusive ring provider, will be on campus April 13 and 14, from10 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the Danna Student Center, to take orders for class rings and answer questions.

“Class rings capture the proud achievement of graduating from college and being linked forever to Loyola University,” said Robbie Reed, assistant vice president for Student Affairs. “This is a memorable event where family and friends are invited to attend. The Ring Presentation Ceremony is as important a part of the ring tradition as the ring itself and we are pleased to bring the tradition back to Loyola after several years absence.”
