Law professor shares expertise with peers

William P. Quigley, J.D. ’77, Janet Mary Riley Professor of Law at Loyola University New Orleans, recently spoke at several law schools across the country.

Quigley served as the speaker and moderator at Columbia Law School Human Rights Institute twice this year. His presentation in October was titled “Lawyering in Partnership for Effective Community-Based Human Rights Advocacy,” and in June, he presented “Introduction to Ethics and Domestic Human Rights Lawyering.”

He was also the keynote speaker at the Harvard Law School Advocates for Human Rights fall training session on the topic of “U.S. Accountability for Human Rights Abuses.” In September, Quigley presented at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Boyd School of Law on “The Legal and Ethical Implications of Unmanned Weapons Systems.”
