Historic Thomas Hall renovation celebrated with open house and dedication

Loyola University New Orleans recently completed a major renovation of Thomas Hall, one of the university's original buildings, which served as a residence and chapel for Jesuits of the New Orleans Province until 2005. To celebrate the renovation's completion, the university will host an open house at Thomas Hall on Sept. 27, with a dedication ceremony for the Loyola community at 12:30 p.m. and a reception for the general public starting at 5 p.m.

Alumnus and opera star Alfred Walker performs voice recital on campus

Loyola University New Orleans alumnus Alfred Walker '96 will perform a solo voice recital on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Roussel Performance Hall, located in the Communications/Music Complex, on the corner of St. Charles Avenue and Calhoun Street.

Loyola students visit New Orleans film set for major motion picture experience

Students in Loyola University New Orleans' digital filmmaking department recently spent an evening on the set of the feature thriller "Parker," studying the workings of a major theatrical project as cast and crew filmed exterior action scenes on the banks of New Orleans' Bayou St. John.
