Loyola law professor appointed to federal bench

The U.S. Senate on Monday unanimously voted to confirm Loyola University New Orleans College of Law associate professor and Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Higginson to a seat on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. The vote was 88-0.

Loyola University New Orleans welcomes the popular independent film company Wong Fu Productions to its campus on Thursday, Nov. 10 from 7-9 p.m. in Roussel Hall. Wong Fu Productions creates short, comical videos focusing on everyday activities of young Asian-Americans which have become online sensations.

Loyola career coordinator serving dignity to the homeless

Loyola University New Orleans staffer Georgia McBride '06 has a passion for service. As a career development coordinator for the university, her job is to help students find jobs that send them on their career paths to become productive members of society. While this is commendable in and of itself, McBride's real passion involves helping a group of people whose reality is somewhat dark and full of uncertainty, who are more often than not, living on the fringe of society.
